If you’re interested in a future in public health, then Outbreak! is the program for you! Take this opportunity to explore the history of public health and how that history informs what is happening now in the fields of epidemiology, ethics, disease surveillance, nursing, emergency preparedness, and more!

Online This Year!

Outbreak! is an interactive, challenging and fun program designed to introduce high school students to the history and importance of public health. We moved online this year with an exciting digital format. Students learned about epidemiology, a wide range of public health careers, and collaborated on teams guided by peer mentors. Students from over 30 communities engaged in live Q&A sessions, breakout rooms, and had the chance to network. We welcome students to join this informative, educational and unique program, now in its eighth year.

**Student and Peer Mentor Applications will open in Spring 2021**
